Must have experience with Water/Waste Water Treatment Facilities. The purpose of this position is conduct manual skilled labor rehabilitating lift stations. This is accomplished by temporary By-Pass Pumping around the clock with high alarm telemetry, removing/replacing base pumps riser piping and valves. Reconditioning existing wet well, Vac out and disposal, pressure washing, sandblasting, coating, Removal of concrete sidewalks and slabs. Then re-install new pumps, riser pipe, check valves and other pumping equipment. Restoring the area by pouring concrete sidewalks and concrete pump pads, installing security fence around lift station site. Other duties include operating heavy equipment as well as operating a variety of hand and power tools. Essential Functions Set up By-Pass Pumps and high lever floats & alarm telemetry. Vac and cleaning of existing wet well surfaces for new coating (Super Coat). Removing concrete slabs with jack hammer and frontend loader, Removal of lift station wet well concrete cover with concrete saw. Build wooden forms to pour concrete sidewalks, driveways and pump pads. Remove base, saw cut concrete and riser pipes, unbolt and remove check and gate valves from header pipe. Installing base riser piping in wet well. Assemble header pipe to include check and gate valves, submersible pumps, and ARV’s. Operates Boom Truck and Front-end loader by completing pre-trip inspections; back filling open trench; loading dump trucks; disconnecting loader bucket; and evaluating project site and backfilling. Set MOT along roadway and maintain daily. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience Excellent Communication skills Must relay detailed information (including the location, time project type) Must have thorough knowledge/understanding on the following: -Maps/States/Cities/Zones – Records required by the department of transportation including insurance information and permits. Highly organized Must be familiar with project boards & dispatching programs (willing to adapt & learn quick multiple programs) Dispatcher must have knowledge of the state and federal transportation laws regarding load limits, drug testing and other safety regulations as directed by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
