On Time Talent Solutions is currently searching for an upbeat and ambitious Medical Coding Supervisor! Medical Coding Supervisor Responsibilities: Work closely with the manager and director of Coding, hospital and clinic administration, health care providers, finance leaders and many more internal and external customers to ensure quality data Supervise the hospital and clinic coding for the purpose of providing accurate diagnostic and procedural coded data for statistical, financial, clinical and quality improvement purposes Manage day-to-day operations of the department including coordination, prioritization, personnel supervision and issues resolution of coding Manage the operational workflow and process related to coding with outstanding results in terms of quality and quantity Promote effective use of data for quality assessment and improvement of customer services and clinical outcomes Coordinate and provide education on coding and billing processes to physicians, providers, coders and management Manage department budget and monitor productivity and volumes Medical Coding Requirements: BS or BA in health related field preferred Must have formal ICD-10 training education and provide proof of classroom and/or online completion Desire 1-2 years previous supervisory experience and/or previous position with progressive responsibilities 3 years clinic/hospital based health care experience preferred Expertise in governmental compliance rules and regulations required. Thorough knowledge of health care billing operations and requirements of payers Proven expertise in CPT and ICD-10 coding and interpretation of third party payer guidelines required Experience working with clinical databases desired Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills, including public speaking. Skills in building relationships, influencing and negotiating Experience in Window-based PC skills, Microsoft Office, and automated computer systems RHIA or RHIT certification required for hospital coding RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC certification required for clinic coding
