Responsibilities of the Grocery/Whole Body Team Member (Market Team) include stocking and replenishing the Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Bulk, and Whole Body shelves, as well as other miscellaneous displays, coolers, cross merchandising areas within the store. This includes the use of pallet jacks, 2 wheelers, and u –boats to transport product from backroom to sales floor. Break down and count in loads. Maintain Grocery/Whole Body area cleanliness and visually appealing manner.

Hourly wage is $15.00

Essential Duties:

  • Give every customer immediate and undivided attention. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delicious food
  • Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products
  • Maintain accurate department signage and pricing
  • Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins frozen and dairy case
  • Maintain back stock in good order.
  • Keep Grocery department clean, sweep floors and maintain sweep logs.
  • Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
  • Operate and sanitize all Grocery equipment in a safe and proper manner
  • Take special orders and inform the Team Leader.
  • Be aware of new products and their placement.
  • Document product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
  • Help cross-merchandise product with other departments.
  • Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Attend all department, store and training meetings when scheduled.
  • Accept and process product from Receiver.
  • Answer telephones with proper etiquette when time permits.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to facilitate customer service.
  • Participate in regional and national sales promotions.
  • Flatten and bale excess cardboard.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Store Leadership.

  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Use of electric pallet jacks or other heavy machinery
  • Previous Grocery experience preferred
  • Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
  • Desire to learn all aspects of Team.
  • Team Member must be in good standing.
  • Team Members with written active Corrective Counseling’s must disclose this information to the hiring leader when they are applying for a transfer or promotion.
  • Team Members on an active Final Warning are ineligible to apply or be considered for transfers or promotions. 

Working Conditions:

  • Some reaching above and below shoulder height.
  • Some exposure to dust, fumes and chemicals.
  • Repetitive use of hands and fine manipulation.
  • May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.
  • Exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises.
  • Any item over 40 pounds requires a team lift.
