Responsibilities The assessment of and treatment of patients’ wounds and understanding the etiology of wounds. NP spends 90% of time in outpatient treatment and 10% inpatient. Share in the supervision of HBOT patients equally with other APPs on the Wound Care team. The knowledge of wound care principles, appropriate wound dressing techniques and the prescribing of medications. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses and therapists in an inpatient setting, to ensure comprehensive inpatient care. Effective coordination and communication with colleagues creating a teamwork approach to patient care. Clear communication with patients and their families regarding wound care instructions. Ability to educate patients on proper wound care at home. Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $114,600-$123,000 depending on experience. Allowance for licensure fees, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and renewals. Generous Paid Time Off. Qualifications Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in New York. Master's degree from an accredited program. New grads are welcome to apply. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Career Development CME - $2,500 for conference registration, certifications, and membership fees for specialty-specific medical societies. APP Council and other leadership opportunities for advanced practice providers. Within one year of employment, wound care certification is supported; within six months, HBOT certification is supported.
