*Interested applicants are required to register on Employ Florida at www.employflorida.com and upload a professional resume with contact information*SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Reports to Program Manager and is responsible for communicating with youth participating in the CareerSource Polk Summer Youth Employment Program.REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES: Program ManagerESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to career coaching, worksite development and monitoring, and paperwork/data management.Serves as the primary point of contact for the youth participants in the Summer Employment Program.Connects with employers and community organizations on a frequent basis to monitor and ensure the success of program participants.Monitors progress and quality of the work completed by participants.Supports general supervision to include ongoing feedback to both employer and Worksite Supervisor.Manages critical incidents with Worksite Supervisor.Responsible for timesheet management and processing.Coordinates worksite injury and worker’s compensation claims.Reviews worksite safety to include compliance with Wage and Hour and Federal/State Labor Law requirements.Displays initiative and complies with program rules.Provides assistance to participants and Worksite Supervisors as needed.Collects and distributes performance evaluation documentation.Addresses barriers that may interfere with participant’s success; and,Demonstrates ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties within a deadline.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERelated AA Degree (Social work, computer applications, youth development) preferred.High School Diploma/GED required.3+ years’ relevant youth program experience.Experience with at risk youth, particularly in worksites, work experience, workforce, or employment and training.COMPETENCIESDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic data entry experience.Marketing and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to present concepts to individuals and groups.Must provide personal cell phone for business use.OTHER DUTIES:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
