Job Summary
Georgia Tech Library seeks an innovative and experienced User Experience (UX) Librarian to support student success by using the best practices from UX to improve, manage, test, assess, and troubleshoot online learning for the Georgia Tech Library. In close collaboration with the Systems Librarian and Web and Discovery Management Librarian, they will optimize library resources and service discovery. They will create and co-create asynchronous instruction using evidence-based methods and train other content creators. In addition, the UX Librarian may perform information, multimedia, or data literacy instruction in a variety of modalities. The User Experience Librarian will serve as an Academic Engagement team member.
Specific responsibilities of the User Experience and Online Learning Librarian include, but are not limited to:

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
This position will be filled at the rank of Librarian II or III. Final determination of rank will be commensurate with experience and professional contributions.

Preferred Qualifications
Up to two (2) years credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter.
Applications will be considered beginning April 15, 2024, but the search will continue until the position is filled. A background check must be completed prior to beginning employment.
Compensation
This is a benefits-eligible position with a minimum salary of $72,400 commensurate with education and experience.

Faculty status
This is a 12-month faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% librarianship, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession.
The Georgia Tech Library Faculty may enjoy flexible work schedules, teleworking (up to 2 days a week), professional development, and a healthy work-life balance. The library is a 24/7 institution; as such, some nights and weekends may be necessary.
