Overview
The Opposing Force (OPFOR) Role Player position is a part-time position. Travel will be authorized in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). As an OPFPR role player, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the training experience by creating real-world tactical military training scenarios in direct support of professional instructors.
Places of performance shall include but are not limited to:
Fort Chaffee; Fort Smith, AR. Muscatatuck Urban Training Center; Butlerville, IN. Fort Campbell; Oak Grove, KY. Fort Knox, KY. Fort Pickett; Blackstone, VA. Fort AP Hill; Bowling Green, VA. JEB Little Creek-Fort Story, VA. Position is contingent upon contract being awarded.
Responsibilities
Participate in weapons handling and operation training when required: Rifle, Pistol, Blanks, and Dye-Marking Cartridges. Ensure all weapons are properly cleaned, maintained, and returned upon completion of duty. Integrate into military or civilian scenarios using real military weapons, and equipment performing the duties of foreigners, merchants, rioters, protestors, laborers, third-country nationals, severely- injured personnel, displaced persons, refugees, dignitaries etc. Perform urban/mounted operations training and may be shot at using blank-firing weapons or dye-marking cartridges (SIM-FX, Ultimate Training Munition/UTM, or paintball). Open to all genders.
Qualifications
Be able to work alternate schedules to satisfy training requirements; day, night, weekday, and weekend operations, as required. Perform in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere, while completing multiple tasks, and meeting stringent timelines. Be able to work for up to twelve “in-field” hours per day. Be able to work in all weather conditions and environments. Be able to operate non-lethal training aids, simulators, and devices. Be able to act as a detainee. US citizen and possess a current U.S. passport. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Be physically fit, and able to perform all required tasks and skills, to US military equivalent standards. Be capable of wearing full combat equipment (up to 45 pounds) with weapons during each training event, which will include short sprints and transitioning from prone to standing positions, while conducting Force-on-Force training.
