As a growing, family owned business they focus on internar growth and development while encouraging a collaborative work environment.About the roleThe Estimator will work with management to review project plans, requirements, and specifications to create an accurate project estimate in addition to assisting in the maintenance of the budget throughout. Qualified individuals will have estimating experience with infrastructure, public work, and site development projects and have a desire to grow with the company while taking on leadership responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate quantity takeoffs on project plans. Will be required to perform takeoffs for all trades.Maintain historical pricing for estimates completed. Use subcontractor input to establish/update unit pricing.Maintain labor productivity data for self-perform work, utilize for labor estimating.Estimate projects at various levels of drawing development – DD, SD, CDs.Review all project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.Reach out to subcontractors for bids. Maintain contact with bidders as required to obtain a sufficient number of timely bids.Review subcontractor bids for scope accuracy and completeness.Maintain subcontractor database for future bids.Assist with business development by researching available public and commercial bid opportunity websites.QualificationsCivil Engineering or Construction Management degree3+ years of experience in estimatingUnderstanding of estimating software, Microsoft OfficeAble to meet project deadlinesEffective communicatorSelf-motivated, eager to learn, and a good team playerSalary and benefitsHealth InsuranceVacation Time & Paid Holidays401KSalary to be commensurate with experience (anticipated range $100k-$150k)
