You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their workflow needs, configure and customize the Epic system, provide end-user training, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of the EHR platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Epic modules and functionality, as well as strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operational, and technical staff, to gather requirements and translate them into Epic system configurations.Configure and customize the Epic system to meet the organization's needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Epic modules and functionality, including clinical, revenue cycle, and reporting modules.Provide support and training to end-users, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, on the proper use of the Epic system.Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported by end-users, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions in a timely manner.Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of the Epic system with other software applications and systems.Stay up to date with Epic software updates, new features, and industry trends, and assess their impact on the organization's workflows and system configurations.Participate in testing and quality assurance activities related to Epic system updates, enhancements, and new implementations.Assist in the development and maintenance of system documentation, including policies, procedures, user guides, and training materials.Contribute to the continuous improvement of EHR-related processes and workflows, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency gains.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or Computer Science. Equivalent work experience may be considered.Epic certification in one or more modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Epic HIM, etc.) is required.Strong understanding of EHR concepts, clinical workflows, and healthcare operations.Experience working with Epic system implementations, upgrades, and maintenance.Proficiency in configuring and customizing Epic modules to meet organizational needs.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use, is preferred.Experience with other healthcare information systems and technologies, such as HL7, CPOE, and clinical decision support, is a plus.
