We’re specialized in Healthcare, Higher Education and critical environments.Currently we’re looking for a Building Automation Technician/ Field Engineer in the South Houston/Galveston Area.Job Responsibilities:Perform periodic preventative maintenance to ensure issues are detected early and resolved before the equipment fails. Work with OEM to track open repairs and maintenance.Troubleshoot and repair field wiring and sensors. Perform modifications to controllers, sensors, components, and troubleshoot communications issues.Perform root cause analysis of HVAC controls systems malfunctions while striving for continuous improvement and making recommendations.Create automation scriptsprograms, databases, and alarms.Startup and commissioning of new systems and functionsWork closely with installation subcontractors and coordinate work with them to ensure projects are completed on time and per code, standards, and contract requirementsPerform a point-to-point checkout per standard proceduresPerform quality control on the maintenance of programs, database, alarms.Perform software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation.Create and maintain detailed documentation of each site system, including but not limited to device inventory, wiring schematics, panel elevations, floor plans, etc.Physical Demands/Working Conditions:The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May work with or around chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheet.Qualifications:Minimum 3+ years in the building automation or controls environment.High School Diploma, Associates or technical degree.Experience working in BACnet/ Modbus.Logic programming (code or blocks).Point to point checkouts.Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, building mechanical/electrical drawings and technical guides.Valid driver’s license.Preferred qualifications:Previous experience in preparing controls submittal.Knowledge of IP based controls.System integrations.Communication trouble shooting.KLUTCH Controls offers a competitive compensation package that includes healthcare benefits, generous PTO, and more.
