Responsibilities The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire a Single Cell Sequencing Scientist to join their Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics. In this key role, you will primarily work on 10x single cell sequencing services and translational research and spatial gene expression and NGS-based assay. Under the guidance of the Core Director, you will also help develop and conduct new protocols and applications, assist with the implementation of new assay/sequencing platforms and other laboratory development projects. Qualifications • Experience working in a 10x single cell/NGS core lab is strongly preferred • Must have a strong background in the field of NGS technologies with a wide range of molecular biology skills, including DNA and RNA extraction, reverse transcription, in vitro transcription, PCR, QRT-PCR • PhD in molecular biology, genetics, or biotechnology is preferred • Excellent attention to detail with strong time and organizational skills UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
