We are seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNSUP) to join our team working in a skilled nursing facility for a 7 week contract! This position is Monday – Friday 3P to 1130P You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients. Schedule may vary. You will be paid within two hours after each shift. As can be imagined, a supervisor must wear many hats. He or she will be responsible for the supervision of nursing staff as well as the overall monitoring of patient care. Leadership and diplomacy are absolute requirements as well as having effective communication skills. The general responsibilities of an RN Supervisor fall within three general categories: Supervisory Clinical Administrative Supervisory: Oversees RNs, LPNs and nursing aides, medical clerks and support staff Responsible for scheduling, assignments, performance evaluations and disciplining poorly performing employees Establishes employee policies and procedures Mentors nursing staff as needed Sets unit goals and standards and chairs staff meetings Clinical: Establishes nursing care standards based on best practices and latest research Ensures that patient care meets these standards Analyzes patient records to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of care Consults with physicians as necessary Handles complaints from patients or families Administrative: Creates and manages the units budget Ensures that medical supplies, medications and equipment are well-stocked May hire and train employees Consults with senior management on recommendations, questions, or concerns Licensing and Educational Requirements Requirements Supervisory: RN License in state applied Must Possess a BLS through AHA Oversees RNs, LPNs and nursing aides, medical clerks and support staff Responsible for scheduling, assignments, performance evaluations and disciplining poorly performing employees Establishes employee policies and procedures Mentors nursing staff as needed Sets unit goals and standards and chairs staff meetings Clinical: Establishes nursing care standards based on best practices and latest research Ensures that patient care meets these standards Analyzes patient records to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of care Consults with physicians as necessary Handles complaints from patients or families Administrative: Creates and manages the units budget Ensures that medical supplies, medications and equipment are well-stocked May hire and train employees Consults with senior management on recommendations, questions, or concerns Licensing and Educational Requirements Benefits Nurses eaRN It Medical Staffing Group proudly offersmost contract, travel, and PRN healthcare professionals medical insurance plans with over 100 options to choose from.We also offer professional liability insurance coverage that exceeds the industry standard.
