Job Description

RDA Technical Services is currently seeking an experienced RF Engineer to provide research and development support for Army Tactical radars. This support will include development of radar algorithms and techniques, performance and/or support of laboratory and field testing, analysis of radar data and reporting of results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide radar systems support, including support for design and development of airborne and ground-based Army radar system capabilities
  • Develop, design, and implement radar algorithms and analysis techniques
  • Develop test plans/test cases/scenarios for radar system testing
  • Support and/or perform laboratory and field testing of Army Tactical radars
  • Complete in-depth technical assessments, analysis, and evaluations for military systems
  • Analyze and assess RF performance using M&S and/or test data
  • Generate official reports that contains the structure of the test events, the rationale on the structure of the test events, detailed analysis, conclusions, and suggested approaches for future development
  • Work with team members to understand their technical approach and provide technical guidance
  • Present technical data/papers to leadership and industry stakeholders

 

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
  • RF or Communications experience
  • Hands on laboratory/field experience
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into meaningful strategies and system roadmap and architectures
  • Proficient in MATLAB, C++
  • Advanced Engineering or Physics degree, modeling and simulation, radar system analysis, radar signal processing, and radar waveform experience strongly desired
  • Strong technical writing and communications skills
  •  Ability to work well collaboratively and thrive independently

 An active Security Clearance is required.

Job Location

This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG) in Aberdeen, Maryland. APG is a large Army installation located approximately 40 miles north of Baltimore and less than two hours from Philadelphia. A train station situated just outside of APG services Amtrak’s Northeast Regional Route, which also services Washington DC, New York City and Boston, daily.
