Serve as a Production Controller for the Planning Division as an expert within the department in multi project scheduling, constraining, and prioritizing all brokered jobs and tasks for assigned submarines and activities of the organization.

Act as the Naval Submarine Support Facility Chief Scheduler for availability planning, critical chain management, and resource allocation.

Execute project management skills and critical chain management methodology to ensure accurate submarine I-Level availability timelines, and optimized resource allocation.

Support customer driven, result oriented quality and process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and/or various Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) strategies within the department.

Manages and coordinates pre-availability meetings, planning availability, and material status meetings prior to Continuous Maintenance availabilities.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR THE GS-12: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as: Provided oversight for availability scheduling activities of the Advance Planning Group (APG) by explaining and directing team goals and objectives in focusing government and contractors in APG to plan and integrate tended unit availabilities. Ensured all shop and external activity scheduling information is analyzed using the NSSF Program Management tools and project management expertise to provide feedback to the respective department and external activity schedulers for optimal project management. Interpreted accurate submarine I-Level availability timelines and optimized resource allocation by utilizing critical chain management methodology and project management skills. Served as an Advanced Planning Continuous Process Improvement Champion and Value Stream Manager by advising management and colleagues on options and alternatives representing the availability planning process while providing process improvement recommendations.
