Summary

You will serve as a Production Controller (Mechanical) in the Mechanical Planning Branch, Maintenance Planning Division (C420), Planning Department (C400) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Responsibilities

You will perform AWR contingent repair processes (FWP and CWP) and the approved methods of repair.

You will research and identify Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and develop the required QA-forms.

You will research, locate and interpret logistical documents such as: Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), Drawings, Tech Manuals, Maintenance Standards (MS), procedures, instructions and directions.

You will validate material requirements and requisition material.

You will perform configuration/ship checks to develop man-hour estimates required for work accomplishment.

Qualifications

(GS-10) To qualify for the Production Controller (Mech), GS-1152-10 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with TRIPER, TRIDENT Class Maintenance Plan, and 3M requirements and policies to process TRIPER Component Refurbishments/Planned Maintenance Requirements and corrective maintenance requests. Experience planning and executing nuclear submarine refit maintenance actions and alterations to avoid production delays, schedule conflicts, lack of material, or trade/skill imbalances. Experience with testing requirements, URO requirements and REC processes to ensure maintenance is performed satisfactory to enable re-certification of the ship. (GS-09) To qualify for the Production Controller (Mech), GS-1152-09 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying technical knowledge of complex systems, sub-systems, and components which comprise TRIDENT Class and non-TRIDENT naval platforms to develop and implement the techniques and methodologies essential to support production planning and scheduling. Experience with FWP and CWP preparation to verify work request information is correct. Experience with projects and refit maintenance scheduling requirements and integrated scheduling priorities.
