Job Description

 

Carrera Manufacturing, Inc. is looking for a hands-on plastic injection Molding Manager.  The qualified candidate will provide support and technical knowledge and skills to our growing company.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of injection molding department

  • Troubleshoot molding processes, mold, machine and/or material to obtain optimal process parameters

  • Ensure cycle times, yield, part quality, and deliverables meet or exceed company strategies including support to reduce overall production costs

  • Establish optimal equipment set-up and operating procedures

  • Assist molding manufacturing in trouble shooting molding processes, mold, machine and material to obtain optimal processing parameters

     

    Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience leading/managing injection molding operation

  • 3-5 years hands-on processing experience

  • Secondary education in plastic technology or equivalent is preferred

  • Thorough molding experience with polycarbonate, ABS and other engineered resins

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Must have excellent computer skills, verbal and written communication

  • Excellent organization skills, high attention to detail, be adaptable to various responsibilities, and ability to multi-task

  • Demonstrated success in handling multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience molding clear lenses is preferred

  • Knowledge and working understanding of tool construction, preventative maintenance and/or repair recommendations
