Job Description

Network Engineer position is responsible for implementing, updating, maintaining and monitor network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls and wireless infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable Knowledge of the following
    • Web Server Load Balancing technologies (such as F5/Citrix NetScaler)
    • Diagramming logical and physical network designs (utilizing tools such as Visio)
    • VPN Technologies (client and site-to-site)
    • Configuration and Automation tools (scripts/software/other)
    • AAA/Radius servers
    • QoS understanding and usage
    • Router deployment/management/monitoring (any vendor)
    • Network switch deployment/management/monitoring (any vendor)
    • MPLS
    • BGP/OSPF
    • Complex Network Architecture design/implementation
  • 5 years of enterprise experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of enterprise network experience
  • Possesses network certifications – such as CCNA/CCNP and/or other industry accepted/recognized certifications
  • Experience configuring Cisco Catalyst IOS devices
  • Experience configuring Cisco Nexus devices
  • Experience utilizing Network Management Systems (such as SolarWinds)
  • Configuring/maintaining DHCP servers (ISC DHCP)
  • Experience utilizing Linux and/or shell scripting
  • Basic Linux/RedHat system management (updates and basic system management)
  • Experience with Firewall technologies (such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls)
  • Knowledge of IPv6 (training/certification/hands on experience)
  • Experience with Netflow monitoring and reporting
