Job SummaryThis position is responsible for activities relating to the daily production engineering release process for single use products. This includes: generation of production protocols, process and quality improvement, production flow and standard work development, process definition, and documentation. This includes ensuring the assembly will meet the performance criteria required by the customer. This position will work closely with account managers, customer service, production and quality.Operates generally under the supervision of manufacturing engineering personnel and production supervision in the performance of the above responsibilities and does not have any direct or indirect reports.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(List in order of importance)Responsible for daily production support to generate production protocols, creation of standard work documents, and process fixturesAssist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions.Leads & assists with process development and improvement activities.Supports the implementation and validation of process and product documentation.Develops and implements various tooling and fixturing to meet the needs of the Manufacturing departmentSupports and implements preventative maintenance and calibration programsOther duties as requiredAssist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions.Understand and support company operating procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and foster the development of long term business relationships.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)Skill RequirementsAbility to define and develop single piece flow production methods in support of single use sterile assemblies.Ability to read and work with technical drawings and translate into documents for production useFamiliarity with operating in an ISO-9000, cGMP and Lean Manufacturing environmentComputer literacy is requiredFamiliarity with FDA documentation a plusRequired/ Preferred Education and ExperienceRequires a minimum of a high school degree with experience in technical writing or medical device field or a Vocational/Technical degree or equivalentShould have a minimum of 3-5 year of direct floor support experience or assembly experiencePlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.Minimal physical effort is required.
