Low Voltage and A/V systems engineer

 

VIDELIO-HMS is one of the world’s largest providers of A/V systems for the Cruise Ship market and a large international presence in land based construction. With offices throughout the world, strong purchasing power, vendor relationship, distribution facilities, and support staff, Videlio-HMS is equipped to handle any project.

 

RESPOSNSIBILITIES:

The CAD drafter works with the Sales, Project management, and Technical Services teams to provide full documentation release’s for construction and manufacturing.

 

This role includes:

  • Equipment training and research

  • Creating full Construction and Design documents in AutoCad

  • Line drawings and wiring schematics

  • Work with sales associates in systems design and specifications

  • Site surveys

  • Mentor and train less experienced staff

  • Assist service department with technical issues.

  • Attend design meeting with Clients, Contractors, Production personnel, Architects, etc…

 

The Senior Systems Engineer will work from the U.S. office in Miami Florida.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have extensive AutoCad experience along with other CAD software and practices.

  • Must have advanced knowledge of the following areas:

    • Display technologies (LCD, Front/Rear/Blended Projection)

    • Switching and Matrix equipment (IP, Fiber, Optical HDCP, Crestron DM)

    • Control systems and associated user interfaces (Crestron, Extron, AMX, )

    • CTS or CTS-D certification Desired

    • Audio systems both analogue and digital (BSS, QSC etc)

    • Video and Audio Conferencing (IP Video Distribution and VTC systems)

    • Twisted Pair and Fiber signal distribution.

  • Ability to perform detailed work, being careful about detail and being thorough in completing tasks

  • Ability and desire to work well with others and coach others.

  • Ability to write and maintain accurate daily records.

  • Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.

  • Neat, professional appearance

     

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
