This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will serve as a technical team leader for other IT professionals.

You will balance the workload among team members, monitor and evaluate work in progress and upon completion, and to provide expert guidance on issues that exceed team members capabilities and authority.

You will man, train and equip all ID forces afloat and ashore across the Navy to generate required levels of current and future readiness to execute directed missions.

Forecasts Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) service level requirements and associated resource costs.

You will define and continue refinement of NGEN business rules, which provides standard measures for evaluating the operational necessity of service level proposals, forwarded by the various commands.


Conditions of Employment


Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensures that business rules are updated to reflect current program offerings. Works collaboratively with the primary NGEN point of contacts (POCs) and Comptroller team members to determine the level of NGEN services that are mission essential and within the activity’s ability to fund. Works with the Comptroller team members to define, document and justify short to long-term budgets. Initiates request for specialty hardware or software acquisition or proprietary application design, under NGEN policy processes. Works with NGEN competency POCs to justify the extreme operational need for an document independent government cost estimates for proposed un-priced Contract Line item Numbers (CLIN) items. AND You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1. Attention to Detail – Tracks status of orders and keeps the serviced elements informed of status.

2. Customer Service – Works collaboratively with the primary NGEN point of contacts (POCs) and Comptroller team members to determine the level of NGEN services that are both mission essential and within the activity’s ability to fund.

3. Oral Communication – Works with lower echelons to identify, document and justify the need for specific Control Line Item Numbers (CLINs) to accommodate optional but mission essential, service requirements.

4. Problem Solving – Documents and justify the command’s customer-specific business processes and IT operational requirements that are adequately met by the NGEN Service Level Agreement (SLAs). Additional Information

This is a Special Sensitive position which requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. This position is Testing Designated Position DON Drug-Free Workplace Program. This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in a specialty area (804) and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239-2, which include: 1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and; 2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in current individuals development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
