Float Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
MA Starting Wage: $17/hour / LPN Starting Wage: $22/hour + $1/hour Float Differential

Under immediate supervision of the Clinic Manager and nursing supervision of the Head Nurse, the Float Medical Assistant/LPN/RN performs routine clinic duties associated with a reproductive health program within the scope of their training. Provides excellent customer service. Performs related work as directed. MA/LPN/RNs are advocates in implementing our mission of “Affirming the human right to reproductive health and freedom” Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Hours:
Full-time 32 hours/week. Shifts will vary from 7:45am-8:30pm, Monday through Friday. Includes every third weekend 8:00am-6:00pm.
Commitment/Requirements
Scheduling and hours commitments will depend on FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) or regular scheduled hours of the particular float position. There is the option to work above the scheduled FTE if extra hours are available. The Regular Float would be assigned clinic hours within the state of Minnesota and travel is an expectation of this role. The estimated amount of travel outside of the Twin Cities is 30% annually.
Hours commitments will be met on a pay period basis, for example a 0.5 FTE or 20 hour per week employee will be paid a minimum of 40 hours per biweekly pay period, provided that the above scheduling availability criteria are met. If clinic shifts are unavailable then other projects may be assigned at any of the clinics in the state of Minnesota, RN triage, or remote work such as patient follow up, chart purges, data entry, or audit work.
