Job Description

We are seeking a diesel mechanic with preferred at least three years of experience. Brake and other diesel certifications are preferred but not required to apply. If applicants do not have certain certifications they must have the ability to obtain them once hired. Having at least a Class B CDL is preferred but also not required to apply. If applicants do not currently have a CDL they must have the ability to obtain one once hired. All applicants must have a clean criminal background and it would be preferred that applicants have a clean driving record as well. If an applicant is hired they will be sent for a pre-employment drug screen as well as a physical exam similar to that of a DOT physical. Great pay and benefits as well as overtime offered when exceeding a 40 hour work week.

We have a state of the art facility. Large work bays, enough to fit 4 buses with plenty of work space to spare. Heated floors. Wash bay to clean buses. Pull down oil and antifreeze pumps. Pull down air lines. Great space to work.

Our company is a contracted school bus service. So it is very important that all applicants realize the gravity of working on and maintaining a safe fleet since the majority of our costumers are children. All applicants must be meticulous, thorough, and clean individuals when it comes to working on our buses. All applicants must be able to work well with others.

Lonergans Charter Service has been family owned and run since 1959. The company was started by John J. Lonergan Sr. and in 2005 John retired and his son Greg Lonergan took over as President of the Company

Johns Grandson, Mike Lonergan Jr., also Gregs nephew started with the company in 2006 and is now the Operations Manager. We welcome Paige Lonergan, Greg's Niece, as our Office Manager and Bruce Nelson as our Dispatcher.
