Works directly with individual clients and their families in the community and other related settings (e.g. schools, summer programs, residential programs). The Community Support Associate focuses on supporting the clinical process and achievement of the family, client and treatment team goals. The Community Support Associate will assist clients and their families in navigating community support systems and developing self-advocacy skills. This position will assist in the observation, assessment, development and implementation of functional behavior assessments and crisis intervention plans. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, strengths focused and family centered treatment is required.
A Associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 year experience in human service preferred. High School diploma with 3 years experience in human services is required. Experience with in home services preferred and must be able to work evenings. Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows application is required. Must possess time management and detail-orientation skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have own reliable transportation.
