LOCATION: Home Office Michigan or Illinois meetus@US German/American Recruiting Company is engaged to search for aBusiness DevelopmentManagerwith our international client for their US- Subsidiary. Our client is a trusted source in producing custom packaging and storage solutions as a leading supplier to a diverse industry base incl. aerospace, automotive, construction and others. The Business Development Manager, Automotive is responsible for generating sales and growth initiatives in a defined target market and region (Tier 1-3, OEM). Develop and execute a variety of comprehensive sales plans, both long and short term, to sell new business. Interface with OEM and Tier 1-3 engineering as necessary to certify product for the potential application. Negotiate on price, quality and specification on new and carryover business Independent processing of customer enquiries and preparation of tailor-made offers and solutions in cooperation with internal interfaces such as the head of sales Supervision, coordination and monitoring of development projects in cooperation with the customer himself as well as with internal and external stakeholders for practical implementation Constant market and competition monitoring and initiation of suitable sales measures Conduct price negotiations Sales responsibility and sales planning for the customers in the responsible sales area Consistent implementation of strategic guidelines and corporate goals Identification of market, competitive situations and trends and development of sales and support strategies for the target markets Writing regular reports to the head of sales Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field The ideal candidate is open minded, self-driven, efficient und individualistic Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical sales and within the automotive supply chain tier 1-3 or OEM. Strong history of successful selling to automotive engineering and program management.
