Learn more at or connect with us on Facebook and Twitter. Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to help oversee the cleanliness and safety of all vessels, crew and guests. This person will work with Port Captain, Captain, Engineer, Cruise Manager, Boat Supervisor, and Culinary team to ensure the highest level of customer service, safety and sanitation.Essential Functions:Maintain all Engineer logs that pertain to all vesselsHave a good understanding of electrical, mechanical, diesel engines and fluid systemsPartake in daily stand up meetings with Captain and crewComplete work orders and return to the Port CaptainComply with all fueling and pump out proceduresComplete start up and shut down duties dailyComplete vessel underway check logsConduct daily maintenance of vessels and logsNotify the Port Captain when upcoming oil changes are needed, fueling, oil, filters, hydraulic fluid etc.Assist management staff as necessaryAssist in boarding of passenger’s and ensure passenger safety at all timesProject a positive and friendly attitude to all customer and crewWork with Deckhands and assist when necessaryAssist in all set up for special eventsNotify Captain and repair any safety discrepancies with vesselsArrive neat and in a clean uniformSnow removal as necessaryMaintain all vessels in Coast Guard ready conditionsMaintain current First Aid and CPR cardsMaintain current TWIC cardKnowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic machinesBasic plumbing and electrical skillsAbility to pass random Coast Guard drug screeningsAbility to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 poundsEquipment Used:Radio, Telephone, Fax/Copier, Computer, Mechanical Equipment, Basic Maintenance Tools
