X-Ray Technologist, Full Time-Pulaski location

X-Ray Technologist- Medical Imaging, Pulaski, NY

The full-time Technologist will be responsible for following the protocols in place, explaining the procedure, and answering any questions or concerns from the patient. Operates X-ray equipment by setting controls and making any necessary adjustments to obtain the required images.

Solves problems as they arise during patient exams. Performs and positions the patients for X-ray exams according to the department's standard procedures. Practices radiation safety to protect both the patient and co-workers. Performs QA and other job-related duties such as cleaning and restocking the area. Follows all office policies/procedure, HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of Radiology operating systems such as PACS, EMR, RIS, and reports any malfunction of the equipment and notifies the appropriate person. Performs other duties as required.
