About the Role

Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric) WSET Level 2, Cape Wine Academy qualification or equivalent wine qualification preferred Minimum 2 years' experience as a Wine Steward, Sommelier or senior Food & Beverage professional within a 4 or 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant Strong knowledge of South African and international wines, spirits and beverage trends Experience with wine service, cellar management and stock control Excellent food and wine pairing knowledge Strong communication and upselling skills Well-presented with a professional and guest-focused approach Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays Valid South African ID or valid work permit Key Responsibilities Deliver professional wine service to guests in accordance with luxury hospitality standards Recommend wines and beverage pairings to complement menu selections Maintain and manage the wine cellar, ensuring correct storage and stock rotation Monitor wine inventory, conduct stock counts and assist with orderi...
