JOB FUNCTIONS
Determines the optical characteristics of spectacle lenses with the lensometer or autolensometer.
Performs the following test procedures on patients of all ages:
+ Confrontation fields
+ Humphrey visual fields
+ Virtual reality visual fieds (VRVF)
+ Tangent screen visual fields
+ Amsler grid
+ Insertion and removal of hard and soft contact lenses
+ Administration of eye drops
+ Auto refraction
Educates patients on testing procedures.
