Overview

Shires Vets Equine and Farm are recruiting for an additional sixth Veterinary surgeon. The ideal candidate has 4‑5 years of experience and aims to progress to a lead vet/clinical director position. The workload is predominantly equine, with occasional farm calls and on‑call work.

Benefits

• Salary £60‑65k depending on experience, with progression to clinical director
• 25 working days annual leave plus bank holidays and birthday off
• Eventual 1:6 on‑call rota (currently 1:5 due to GDP support)
• Time off in lieu for on‑call duties
• Normal working day 08:30‑17:00 (half‑hour unpaid lunch), 40‑hour week
