Up to 5 PhD Fellows in Machine Learning (full time, 100%) at the Arctic Institute for AI in Science and Innovation ((AI)²).

About (AI)²

(AI)² is a strategic flagship initiative hosted by the Faculty of Science and Technology at UiT. It focuses on interdisciplinary AI research to address societal challenges in the Arctic, Europe and worldwide, with emphasis on satellite and UAV data, climate forecasting, and infrastructure monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Conduct doctoral research in machine learning and AI methodologies relevant to the thematic areas of microclimate modeling, situational awareness, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Collaborate with researchers in related domains and with external stakeholders to develop responsible AI solutions.
