Ullswater/Grasmere Ranger

Overview

As a Ranger, you're a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors. Our nature strategy is very ambitious, and as a Ranger you will have opportunity to be part of these exciting times! You will work Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. You will also be expected to work approximately 10 weekend and Bank Holiday days during the busy Summer months.

What it's like to work here: As an Ullswater/Grasmere Ranger, you will be part of a team of three working predominantly across these areas, but you will regularly be asked to work on the wider portfolio including Windermere, Langdales and Coniston. Over the last 10 years working with our farm tenants, we have completed some great nature recovery projects, including 2 km of river restoration, over 500 ha of wood pasture and peatland restoration, and hay meadow restoration through the planting of tens of thousands of wildflower plugs.
