Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of Grade 12 education


• Good written and verbal communication skills


• Able to work well in a team


• Excellent interpersonal skills


• Must be in possession of a valid Code 10, including a Professional Drivers Permit


• Medical: Certificate – Minimum Basic First Aid Course (issued by recognized Fire Medical Authority)


• Fire Fighting: Certificate – Minimum Basic Fire Fighting Course (issued by a recognized Fire Fighting Authority)


• Able to work shifts


• Good health and physically fit in the event of being co-opted into the emergency team attending to a motor vehicle accident, or any other roadside emergency


• Certificate of medical fitness
