- Responsible for the optimization of drug therapy by identification, resolution, and prevention of drug related problems and improving therapeutic outcomes.
- Provides patient care according to laws and regulations governing pharmacists and the practice of pharmacy by state and federal agencies.
- May prescribe medications under specific collaborative drug therapy management agreements (CDTM).
- Does not require direct patient care.
- Directs and coordinates pharmacy services activities and delivery.
- Supervises and verifies accuracy of work completed by support personnel during assigned shifts.
- Operates within pharmacy policy and procedures limits.
- Ensures compliance with target drug programs, formulary management, medication management initiatives, and adverse drug event monitoring programs.
