Job Description Revenues and Benefits Trainee Office (19/763) Stranraer, Annan, Dumfries, or Kirkcudbright £26,787 - £28,158 The Financial Wellbeing and Revenues section of the Communities Directorate has responsibility for the administration of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, Council Tax Reduction, Discretionary Housing Payments, Housing Benefit, Free School Meal and School Clothing Grant assessment, amongst other things. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Revenues and Benefits Officer. This trainee post will be for up to 3 years covering the main areas of the service, Council Tax / Non-Domestic Rates billing and collection and Benefits/Welfare administration. During the training period the successful candidates will undertake a 1-year Institute of Rates Revenues and Valuation (IRRV) Level 3 Certificate.
