About the Role

Analyzes and reviews blueprints, specifications, and other engineering data to design, lay out, and create short-run stamping dies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints and engineering data to determine manufacturability

  • Calculate flat pattern layouts for metal stampings

  • Design short-run, single-stage tooling

  • Maintain and repair stamping dies and turret tooling

  • Work with the press room and fabrication department to troubleshoot tooling issues

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker in the short-run metal stamping industry

  • CNC machining experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with bend allowance and bend deduction

  • Knowledge of short-run stamping tooling methods

  • Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks is a plus
