About the Role
Support the heritage of the Thousand Islands by becoming a Museum Maintenance Assistant in Gananoque, ON. Contribute to the upkeep and vibrant presentation of our museum and grounds.
In this full-time seasonal role, lasting from June to September 2026, you will be involved in the maintenance of antique boats, support museum operations, and assist in event organization. We are looking for hands-on, detail-oriented candidates who can thrive in a collaborative and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on antique boats
• Assist in daily operational tasks and exhibit preparations
• Work on woodworking projects with the Museum Manager
• Oversee launching and securing of antique boats
• Help manage and organize museum events and activities
Requirements:
• Interest in local and Canadian history
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Experience with boats is highly preferred
