Temporary 0.5 FTE District Trades & Work Experience Teacher

The successful candidate

will be:Teach and assess courses related to work experience, career education and trade exploration for grade 7 – 12 learnersConduct workplace visits and monitor student progress, safety, and learning outcomesEnsure all required documentation, training and safety certifications are completed prior to placementMaintain accurate records of student placement, attendance, evaluations and course completionPreparation for students to complete Skilled Trades BC standardized written examDevelop and maintain partnership with internal and external groups and agencies, including Skills Canada, Construction Foundation of BC, Skilled Trades BC, industry sector and employer groups and the Ministry of Education and Child CareDevelop and maintain positive partnerships with local businesses, industry partners, and community employers to expand and promote meaningful work experience placement opportunities for students Promote and maintain awareness of dual...
