About the Role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitoring the cardiac function of patients on telemetry, providing an accurate interpretation of the rhythm and promptly notifying the nursing staff of any significant findings or changes
  • Performing clerical duties include printing and interpreting rhythm strips and place in patient's chart each shift, alerting nursing personnel of rhythm changes or new occurrences and obtain a graphic tracing for each.
  • Accountable for alarm limit settings on the monitors, following policies for placing telemetry leads on patients, and troubleshooting any telemetry problems.
  • Compiling new and current charts, including entering patient information on chart.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E D completion
  • Must have current CPR certification and completion of Telemetry Training
  • Must have EKG Certification
