About the Role
The Underwater Sonar Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of underwater sonar and acoustic sensor systems deployed at sites. The role requires strong hands-on technical capability in sonar, underwater acoustics, electronics, and system integration, with the ability to operate independently in challenging field environments. The engineer will work closely with customers, shipyard teams, and internal engineering groups to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal sonarsystem performance. Job Responsibilities Install, configure, commission, and test underwater sonar systems, including transducers, arrays, processing units, interfaces, and associated power and UW network infrastructure within the system is operational and serviceable at sites.
