This position is responsible for providing surgical patient care and related services in the operating room under the supervision of the RN circulator to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.

This position is responsible for providing surgical patient care and related services in the operating room under the supervision of the RN circulator to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Job Functions
- Assesses surgical procedures and patient specific requirements with the circulating nurse to ensure proper preparation of the operating room.
- Prepares and maintains the sterile operating field for the duration of each surgical procedure.
- Assists the surgeon as needed during the intra-operative procedure.(Does not include Important Surgical Tasks: opening and closing, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, harvesting grafts, transplanting tissue, administering anesthesia, implanting devices and placing invasive lines).
