Surgical First Assistant- Operating Room

Under the direct guidance and supervision of the primary operative surgeon, assists the surgeon in the perioperative care of patients and performs duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Must have ONE of the following certifications: 

Current Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) 

Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA) 

2. BLS certified within 30 days of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) years as a Surgical Technician.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
