Supervisory Medical Support Assistant

Summary Supervisory MSA at this level plans and directs programs at medical centers and/or Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) including Primary Care, Specialty Care, Mental Health, Call Center at March AFB, Eligibility, etc. They have full responsibility for supervising at least one subordinate MSA team leader, supervisor, or equivalent administrative patient support staff in a VA medical inpatient, outpatient, or interdisciplinary setting. This announcement may be used to fill future vacancies. Responsibilities Major duties include, but are not limited: Assigns and evaluates the work of subordinate staff. Resolves complex problems to ensure patient services are met. Evaluates new products, equipment, and systems to make recommendations for improved operations. Identifies training needs of staff.
