Summary This position serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for expendable (EX) assets/materials for the Supply Chain Management Service within the VA Health Care System supervising multiple supply series of consumable medical supply/inventory used in the healthcare system as well as the micro-purchase program and recognized as the Commodity Management Division's subject matter expert. Responsibilities Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Supply Management: responsible for the inventory management, control and distribution of expendable inventory; ensures maximum effectiveness in the management of inventories; has oversight and accountability of the management plan for the commodity program; conducts effectiveness/efficiency reviews; oversees the computation of requirements for supplies; may serve as the approving official for approving reconciled purchase card transactions; oversees the care and handling of specialized items; prepares/reviews subm...
