**Position Overview:**
Provides leadership and management support in planning, organizing, staffing and controlling the operational functions related to administrative nursing. Recommends changes in policy, programs and physical resources required to achieve the department's objectives. Ensures that the nursing and professional staff is competent and sufficient to provide direct and indirect patient care and clinical services to the patient population of these units. Oversees and is responsible to direct facility operations, and supervises personnel in all departments when leadership/management staff is not present in the facility. During that time, serves as administrative liaison to all hospital departments, agencies, and physicians and provides functional guidance to all units.
