Structural Engineer, Mining

St. Johns, NL; Brampton, Sudbury; or North Bay, ON

Work Environment

In this role, you will be a part of the Mining team, based in St. Johns, NL; Brampton, Sudbury; or North Bay, ON office.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits to inspect and assess existing mining infrastructure.
• Perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations per the applicable codes and standards in the mining and heavy industrial sector.
• Prepare sketches and collaborate with the designers to produce detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with the clients and other disciplines in developing the layout designs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications and scope documents.
• Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertise.
• Undertake the detailed working drawings of steel, concrete, wood and masonry.
