Steel Fabricator/Pipe Welder (Langley)

About the Role

Fit and weld pipe and fittings.

Read and interpret blueprints/drawings for welding process specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, oxy‑acetylene.
• Operate flame‑cutting and plasma cutting equipment.
• Ensure safe work practices are maintained.
• Assist in development of estimates and time allotted.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, modifications and retrofits.
• Monitor standard parts usage and report to the Welder Supervisor on any material issues.
• Provide daily updates to the Welder Supervisor on job progression and tracking.
