About the Role
_Work Unit Overview:_ The Conservation and Resource Development (CARDD) provides technical and financial assistance to local governments, site agencies, tribal governments, conservation districts, and private citizens for the conservation, development, and management of Montana's natural resources. CARDD works to ensure that Montana's land and water resources continue to provide benefits for present and future generations. _Position Overview:_ The Rangeland Resources Program implements the Rangeland Resources Act, Title 76, Chapter 14, MCA, by promoting healthy, sustainable rangelands that support people, wildlife, recreation, clean water, and Montana’s scenic landscapes. The program works with conservation districts, producer groups, landowners, and partner organizations to encourage sound rangeland management and voluntary, non-regulatory stewardship across ownerships.
