Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support our client in New York, New York on a Contract basis. This role will contribute to core accounting operations while helping deliver accurate financial reporting, regulatory submissions, and audit-ready documentation. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge and a hands-on approach to improving processes, coordinating with advisors, and meeting critical deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger activity, and help ensure the accuracy of monthly and periodic close processes.
• Draft technical accounting documentation and research analyses to support accounting conclusions and internal policy application.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules for external reporting requirements.
