Specialist Associate, Specimen Curation (Entomology) & Molecular Lab Support (12 months contract)

Job Purpose.

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) is Singapore’s only natural history museum, located at the National University of Singapore. We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on individual who will assist with curation of the museum’s entomological collection, obtaining molecular barcodes for insect Biodiversity Discovery, and specimen collection efforts in local and overseas field surveys.

• Curation of the museum’s entomological collections
  • Sorting, preserving and vouchering of specimens
  • Maintenance of specimens, their containers and preservatives
  • Packing and mailing of specimen loans to other institutions
• Supporting Biodiversity discovery work with benchwork for barcoding
• Participating in local and overseas field surveys and specimen collections
