Sonographer

Responsible to independently or under the supervision of a senior sonographer perform all sonography imagery procedures, analyze output and report to supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties.
• Report shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience, maintaining records for ordering and replenishments.
• Perform all ultrasound imagery procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocols. Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce images of high diagnostic quality.
• Perform other related radiography (special) procedures as required.
• Evaluate and assess ultrasound images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness, and advise other staff when required. Forward images to the radiologist for review and reporting.
